what weapon to choose in kingdom hearts 2
ROXAS' EPISODE
THE 1ST DAY
You begin the game as Roxas, a teenager living in Twilight Town. You lot may remember seeing him during the credits of Kingdom Hearts ane and Re: Chain of Memories, where Twilight Town is likewise featured.
This sequence serves as a basic tutorial for the controls. They work nigh identically to those in Kingdom Hearts one. Of annotation is the power to encounter your electric current objective by pressing .
After speaking with several shop keepers, lock on to the cat with . More than scenes will become past, and at the sandlot, you lot are required to make your outset real choice: which Struggle weapon to cull. Yous can have Roxas speak to all of the other characters here showtime for some brief dialogue. Choose a weapon to instigate a fight against Seifer. Roxas' base stats are equally follows: Forcefulness 5, Magic 6, and Defense 2.
The star rod on the left grants a permanent Magic +1.
The sword in the center grants a permanent Defence force +1.
The guild on the correct grants a permanent Forcefulness +ane.
This is a fairly unproblematic one-on-one battle. Seifer but has one special assault, where he floats up into the air, then attacks on a down diagonal. Roxas has plenty of time to move out of the style of this set on. Defeating Seifer starts a cutscene, so Roxas is transported to The Woods area. Hunt the white animal all the way to The Old Mansion, so use the Capture command to start a fight confronting it.
The creature cannot exist damaged by the Struggle weapon, simply have notation of the Reversal Reaction Command. Roxas spins effectually behind the fauna, giving him a couple of seconds to attack while information technology is confused. Keep attacking the animal until a brief scene occurs, where the Struggle weapon digitizes into the Kingdom Key. With Keyblade in hand, defeat the mysterious enemy using a combination of regular attacks and the Reversal control.
The creature drops all of the pictures that were stolen, and the word photo is returned likewise. View more scenes until the cease of the mean solar day.
THE 2ND Twenty-four hours
Roxas can now use Relieve Points and receives the Twilight Boondocks Map. The mini-map is a new addition in Kingdom Hearts ii, and is viewable in the top right corner of the screen. For the purpose of this guide, compass directions (North, S, Eastward, and West) will refer to the mini-map. Roxas is currently in the Back Alley, side by side to The Usual Spot. The southward exit is unusable at this point, so caput north (maybe use the skateboard?) to attain Market Street: Station Heights.
After some quick conversation, yous gain admission to the main menu, although a truncated version of it. Press to come across the menu. Condition shows basic information such as level, experience, and stats, Journal gives a quick summary of the situation and the current objective, and Config allows y'all to change diverse game settings such every bit photographic camera controls and menu aesthetics.
Roxas' goal, for at present, is to proceeds at to the lowest degree 200 munny. You can earn more, but the game automatically continues once Roxas' total reaches 2000.
There are three different jobs available, and they tin can be selected from the Help Wanted board that Roxas starts in front of. Each chore/mini-game is described beneath. I recommend trying each chore at least once before continuing.
At that place are several people to speak to in the Station Heights surface area, just Roxas can as well visit the Tram Common expanse by leaving via the eastern exit, or the Station Plaza via the northern exit. In that location is no reason to visit the Station Plaza until afterward Roxas earns his munny.
There are five targets to deliver letters to; 3 humans and ii birds.
Time Goal | Reward |
00:20 or less | fifty munny |
Between 00:21 and 01:30 | 30 munny |
01:31 or more | 10 munny |
This chore is relatively unproblematic. Attack the large bag of cargo to push it up the hill. After three combos, the handbag will bound into the air. Striking it while airborne to gain significant distance. Once at the height of the hill, go along to striking the pocketbook until information technology fully enters the garage.
Time Goal | Reward |
00:thirty or less | 50 munny |
Between 00:31 and 01:00 | 30 munny |
01:01 or more than | 10 munny |
While in theory very simple, this job can be difficult for some players. The goal is to keep the pocket-sized white ball airborne for as long as possible. There are two tricks to go along in mind. First, use target lock with to focus the camera on the ball at all times. 2d, don't use to jump towards the ball. Just apply , and Roxas will exercise a jump assault on his ain. Each three-hit combo volition fasten the brawl back upwards into the air, allowing Roxas to repeat the combo.
You accept 5 attempts to get a high score. Every bit you tin can see by the rewards below, continuing your set on concatenation past twenty hits is a waste of time. Only continue if you desire to brag to your friends about your loftier score.
Striking Goal | Reward |
20 or higher | fifty munny |
Between 5 and xix hits | 30 munny |
4 hits or fewer | 10 munny |
The Tram Common area has more people to talk to, and another Help Wanted board, complete with new jobs. Again, they are detailed below.
Along the s wall of the Tram Common is a small expanse with an onetime human being and iii piles of trash. This is the location of the Junk Sweep job. Destroy all three piles to earn xv munny. These piles respawn each time Roxas leaves and re-enters the Tram Common, making this a decent location to earn munny if the mini-games at the Assistance Wanted board aren't your manner.
In that location are other exits from this area, to the eastward and s, simply Roxas cannot utilise them at this fourth dimension. Experience complimentary to explore Twilight Town, but there are no chests or other rewards for doing so.
Roxas is asked to put up 20 posters around town, and the faster he completes the job, the more munny he gets. At that place are well over 20 unlike places to put posters, so information technology is up to you to find a practiced road.
Time Goal | Reward |
01:xxx or less | 100 munny |
Between 01:30 and 02:00 | l munny |
02:01 or more | 30 munny |
Perhaps the nigh simple of the jobs, Roxas merely has to fight off some bees. There are iv groups, and after taking them all out another four will spawn. It but takes three hits to defeat a swarm of bees. Roxas' reward is based on speed.
Fourth dimension Goal | Advantage |
00:20 or less | l munny |
Betwixt 00:21 and 01:00 | 30 munny |
01:01 or more | x munny |
The old man has hired Roxas to destroy a agglomeration of piles of junk. A bones three-hitting philharmonic volition send a pile flight and destroy it. Any pile information technology comes into contact with will also be destroyed. Since the reward is based on the number of swings, you desire to endeavour and destroy as many piles in a single go as possible.
Hit Goal | Advantage |
10 hits or fewer | 50 munny |
Between 11 and fourteen hits | 30 munny |
15 hits or more | 10 munny |
In one case Roxas has at least 200 munny, he can speak to Hayner at the Station Plaza to continue. Waiting until yous take at to the lowest degree 1200 munny earns Roxas an additional honor. Roxas can continue to earn munny beyond this point, to a maximum of 2000, at which point the game automatically continues.
Earn at least 200 munny to earn an AP +1.
Earn at least 1200 munny to earn an AP +2.
During the scenes with Hayner, Pence, and Olette, Roxas obtains the Munny Pouch detail, and then promptly loses it.
THE tertiary Day
Leave the Usual Spot and head to Station Heights. The scenes bring Roxas to the open area where he first fought Seifer. This time, he has to fight some more of those mysterious white enemies. Subsequently attempting this fight, Roxas is brought to the Station of Serenity within the Dive to the Centre.
This functions exactly like the sequence from Kingdom Hearts 1. The Sword, Shield, and Staff unlock abilities at dissimilar levels as Roxas (and somewhen Sora) level up. Please see the KH2: Mechanics page for a total list of these abilities and when they unlock.
Unlike the beginning game, there are no unique abilities tied to this choice.
Beginner/Standard: The Staff gives you the Experience Heave ability early. Since you lot are most likely attempting to hit level 99 on ane of these difficulties, having Experience Boost as before long as possible is recommended.
Proud/Critical: I recommend picking the Shield for this run. While Leaf Bracer is unlocked at level twenty for each option, Shield grants earlier access to Once more (level 25) and 2nd Chance (level 49).
After selecting a weapon, defeat the iii enemies. Open the chest that spawns nearby for a Potion. Yous can now admission the Items, Abilities, and Customize sections of the main menu. These should be familiar to you from KH1.
Notation that the Damage Control Ability is part of the Kingdom Key, and does not price any AP.
Use the salve point if you wish, so head through the doors to the Station of Calling. Follow the path up the platforms, defeating enemies and opening the second chest for some other Potion. Note that the enemies will occasionally drib Potions as well, although Roxas tin only ever agree iii at a time.
The door at the elevation of the platforms leads to the beginning true dominate battle. If you render to the Station of Serenity, however, the few enemies here will respawn, allowing for a small amount of feel farming. I recommend doing this at least once, to get the additional Force upgrade at level three.
Dominate: Twilight Thorn
Use reaction commands and defeat the mysterious enemy!
Twilight Thorn acts as a fairly competent tutorial boss. During the start sequence, wait for reaction commands to use Key Counter, Lunarsault, and Interruption Raid. After this, Roxas can fight the Twilight Thorn normally.
From this point on, it is only a matter of using Reversal to avoid attacks, and attack the head of the Twilight Thorn. More than enemies volition spawn during this battle. They are very abrasive, but drop big HP orbs upon defeat, and so don't ignore them completely.
The following scenes are just a bunch of teen drama.
THE 4TH DAY
It'south the Struggle and Title Match!
Roxas begins in the Sandlot, merely he tin leave this area and explore the balance of Twilight Town. This includes performing jobs for some munny, although the only items bachelor for buy are Potions and Tents. The only expanse that is off-limits is the woods and by extension the mansion at the terminate of the path.
In that location is a save bespeak in the Sandlot, but Roxas can also use the one in The Usual Spot. In the Back Alley, Roxas can challenge Seifer to a street brawl. This works exactly like the initial fight against him, except now Roxas is a bit stronger.
When you lot are gear up, speak with the Struggle promoter in the ring to engage in the first battle. In order to win a Struggle Match, Roxas needs to live long enough to run out the timer while too holding more orbs than his opponent. Roxas' first opponent is Hayner.
Also, information technology is of import to mention that if Roxas loses a Struggle match, the game lets you immediately endeavor again. If you lot are having trouble, information technology might be worth your time to spend a few attempts learning how each opponent moves and attacks before making some other serious attempt.
Boss: Hayner
The best style to defeat Hayner is to run around and attack afterward he misses Roxas. A three-hitting combo will cause him to lose a large number of orbs. Once Roxas has a good enough lead, y'all can have him run effectually the outside of the area until the time runs out.
Roxas and Hayner scout the adjacent match, and and then yous are given another gamble to salve before doing Roxas' next fight.
Dominate: Vivi
Despite the previous cutscene, Vivi isn't all that fast. His attacks have amazing reach, all the same. Stay on the move, and be ready to Guard against attacks. Information technology is more of import to accept more orbs than Vivi, not to fully defeat him.
Afterward defeating Vivi, Roxas will have to face up three more mysterious enemies. A new black-cloaked figure will announced and claiming Roxas to an actual, real battle.
Boss: Axel
Axel uses a combination of melee and ranged attacks in combat. There is but one unique attack to actively watch out for. Axel will cloak himself in flame, and so throw multiple fiery shurikens at Roxas. They can all be blocked with Guard.
Once time returns to normal, Roxas can take on Setzer as the terminal fight in the tournament. This is unique amongst the fights as you lot can lose, and the advantage, an Accessory, is dissimilar depending on whether or not you win.
For winning, Roxas gains the Championship Chugalug, armor that increases resistance to Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder elements. Losing to Setzer, notwithstanding, unlocks a Medal, which gives a permanent Strength +i issue. I believe the Belt is the better choice, but information technology is your decision. Both results award Roxas a "The Struggle" Trophy particular.
Boss: Setzer
Of all the fights in this sequence, Setzer is perhaps the easiest. Become a few good hits in, and Setzer volition stand in that location, stunned, allowing Roxas to swing away.
Regardless of whether or non Roxas wins against Setzer, this series of events ends, and more cutscenes will play.
THE 5th DAY
Go to the Station Plaza and enter the railroad train station to reach a new area, Dusk Station. There is a save point on the platform to Roxas' left equally yous proceeds control. Speaking with Pence clears Wonder #ane: The Spooky Steps.
Walk downward the steps to Sunset Terrace, and then ascend the steps to the right to find a train machine. It moves back and along on a very short path. Jump onto the top of the motorcar, and then over to the top of a pillar that has a breast on it. Open the chest for an Ability Ring.
Jump down to the due south to observe a second breast, and open it for a Potion. Return to where Pence is standing, and take the staircase heading north. There is a small alleyway here that Roxas can interact with. This starts a cursory sequence where Roxas has to move to the end of the alleyway while fugitive orbs that shoot out from the wall. This clears Wonder #2: The Friend from Across the Wall.
Head straight west from this location to find a bridge that crosses a small water feature. There is a tunnel to the north that Roxas can investigate. Within the tunnel, fight off a total of fourteen Vivis (they only have one hit) to clear Wonder #three: The Moans from the Tunnel.
Go out the tunnel and cross over the small bridge to the west. In that location is a breast to the right on the other side that holds a Howdy-Potion. Continue to the due west and upwardly some stairs next to an get out to find a regular Potion in another chest. Jump down to find Olette walking effectually next to an empty lot. Arroyo the waterfall here to Investigate.
Face the Shadow Roxas in gainsay, then view the scene with Pence to clear Wonder #iv: The Doppelganger. Have the go out to the westward to attain Sunset Loma.
Climb the ramp to the top of the colina, and investigate the bag. This begins a brief game where Roxas must ride the bag around the area. If the pocketbook hits 1 of the trash cans, Roxas is thrown off. If you mash , you are pretty much guaranteed to hit the reaction control to Jump over the trash cans and keep riding. Afterward wearing down the entire stamina bar (viewable in the top left corner of the screen) the game ends. This clears Wonder #5: The Animate Purse.
After gaining control of Roxas once more, return to Dusk Loma. The gang will render to Station Plaza in Twilight Town proper, and Roxas will make up one's mind to visit the haunted mansion. The day ends afterward a bunch more scenes.
THE 6th Twenty-four hours
Leave the Usual Spot for a battle against some more than mysterious white enemies, and a new creature. Make your way to the Old Mansion, defeating enemies as you go. Roxas arrives at the Mansion Foyer.
Head straight through, betwixt the 2 staircases, to find a Hi-Potion in a breast. The doorway to the west leads to the Mansion Dining Room, and there are two chests in here. Open them both for a Potion and an Elven Bandanna.
If you received the Champion Belt from the Struggle Championship, information technology is past far the ameliorate armor. If you went for the Strength Medal, go ahead and equip the Elven Bandana now.
Return to the Antechamber and ascend the western steps to the 2d floor, taking the Potion from the chest as you become. Enter the door here to reach Naminé's room. Roxas obtains Naminé's Sketches here, equally well every bit the Mansion Map. A Salve Point appears in this room as well.
Leave the White Room and follow the pathway along the due north wall as it heads east. In that location is a chest halfway down this path with a Potion. Enter the door on the eastward side of the second floor to reach the Mansion Library. Roxas automatically uses Naminé's Sketches to reveal a secret area beneath the flooring. Take the Hi-Potion from the breast, then descend through the other door.
There is a scene in the Calculator Room, and a Salve Indicate once it is over. Continue to descend into the Basement Hall via the door. There is another combat against some mysterious enemies, and immediately afterwards, a boss battle.
Boss: Axel
Roxas summons Oathkeeper and Oblivion to help in this fight. Axel is a lot quicker this fourth dimension around, but with Potions and How-do-you-do-Potions you should be more than able to stay live for the whole fight.
When Axel leaves the arena, start mashing . There is a reaction command, Burst Frontier, that but pops up for half a second when Axel attacks. It chains into Overtaker, and so Clear Light. This trio of reactions will go rid of the fire effect on the floor, if not the bulwark.
Spotter out for the fire pillars that Axel summons as well. They can pop up anywhere, including in his space, which deals damage to Roxas. He continues to throw out flaming chakram, and then be prepared to Guard against them.
The north door leads back to the Calculator Room, and so accept the west door to the Basement Corridor. The scene shows a breast, so open it for a Hi-Potion and then take the merely other door to the final room. Afterwards watching the scenes, y'all unlock an Achievement.
That'southward information technology for Roxas' episode. When yous next gain control of a graphic symbol, it volition be Sora, in the real Twilight Boondocks. Head to the next page, KH2: Twilight Boondocks, to continue!
